The reason I’m bullish is slightly different, for me it’s not about what VNL is now but what it’s going to become. I love finding ‘spawner’ stocks ie. companies that start out doing one thing then constantly add on & grow more revenue streams. Here’s a great explanation:

    https://svencarlin.com/mohnish-pabrai-spawner-investing-framework/#:~:text=When%20you%20think%20of%20spawning,some%20far%20away%20from%20it

Amazon is great example - how many people are kicking themselves because they didn’t buy it 30yrs ago because ‘it’s just an online bookseller’… now for that initial investment you get one of thThe e world’s largest companies owning 25+ businesses across online retail, data centres, media, robotics, space flight etc.

VNL will be a ‘spawner too, it’s got Richard White at the helm (the classic Australian ‘spawner’ founder) & has already grown into several businesses.

I’m buying VNL shares not because of what they’re worth now but because of what I know VNL will grow into in the future.
