As far as I know Jaxsta still has the only certified music credit database in the market.
It's been a challenge to monetise this data to date - the MLC deal being the first commercial deal of significance.
After listening to these guys it would be fair to classify them as 'super fans'.
Promoting/presenting this in-depth credit data for these types of fans in Vinyl.com will lead to more engagement/sales.
The question is how far to you go.
- Direct engagement with the artist?
- Member only deals / areas
- Links to videos (remember MTV's Popup Video which gave the backstory to video)
- Artist specific merch (limited edition / only on Vinyl.com etc)
It will be interesting to see how this develops.
