    I couldn't believe you had got the percentages for Egypt correct. But sure enough I did the DYOR, and indeed several African countries with proedominatly Muslim ppopulations have a figure of 90% or above for FGM. There are different "levels" of FGM, ranging froma a "nick" to major cutting, but I agree that ALL should be considered violence against women.

    I can only guess that they are not included in the WHO figures because the women do not make complaints as it is a culturally accepted practice.

    This is a barbaric practice by medaieval cultures IMO
