This is a serious issue but I do query these figures. What constitutes a 'violent' act? Is it measured the same way in every country?

Considering around 90% of women in Egypt suffered from female genital mutilation, and Egypt is not the only country to practice this, how is the Arab figure 37%? Do they not count female genital mutilation as an 'act of violence'?

As for Australia's figure. Where they get that figure from? From which Government Department survey?
