    Intelligence doesn't necessarily come with a peaceful life form. The evidence is all around us.

    Strange? Not what I would have designed. Desirable, no. I don't think that humans are any stranger than much of life really. A lot of it is a very ugly process.

    As to a conflict to end all conflicts --------- Yes, but only if we wipe out all of us in that conflict.

    My guess is that we shall go extinct fairly soon, but that conflict need not be part of it. I think we'll go by choice. I think we'll purposefully just stop breeding. The shift is solidly on to singledom - the data are everywhere in the shift. When robotics really gets a boot along - I think the shift to human singledom will accelerate like crazy and the human/human living partnerships ratio will plummet.
    The data are showing the shift already, the logic is sound.

    It might be a race between that and major conflict - we shall see. Either way - we're not going to last like the crocs, cockroaches, sharks etc. It's not going to happen, we're a short stay visitor IMO.
