I said it last night and I'll say it again - I think 12 months free is a bad idea. This isn't just to VIP members, it's anyone who asks for it between now and the launch.
Let's assume the marketing over the next couple of weeks is phenomenally successful, and reaches everyone who would want to use the product. They visit the site before launch and sign up for a year free. Where's the money going to come from to cover the cost of all these users?
It's almost making me want the marketing to fail..!
