Westoz Investment Co (WIC) has emerged as the biggest shareholder
in Virax.

With a MC of $147m, WIC invests mainly in low/medium caps eg Aurora Oil & Gas (AUT), Aquila Resources (AQA), Automotive Holdings (AHE), Finbar (FRI) and Cedar Woods (CWP).

The LIC produced a return of 21.1pc (incl. dividends) in the six months to Dec 31.

Westoz offshoot, Zero Nominees Pty Ltd, heads Virax's top 20 shareholder list with 33m units, or 6.01pc.

Zero paid $0.005 each for the shares in November.

The shares are now worth $0.015.

Treblers include second-ranking Celtic Capital controlled by mining entrepreneur, Jason Peterson and third ranking Weighton Pty Ltd, controlled by VHL chairman, Dr Wayne Millen ex Clinuvel (CUV).

Other winners include CAs Bryan Hughes, managing partner of Pitcher Partners, Perth and John Hannaford, founder of Ventnor Capital.

Hannaford is a director of Bone Medical (BNE) which, like Virax, has been recapitalized.

BNE's recap was organized by Cornerstone Capital's Robert Towner, BNE chairman.

VHL's recap was organized by Otsana Capital's Dr Brendan De Kauwe, VHL director and - with 8m units - another trebler.
