Given the news about the change in traffic rights, Qantas will be hit hard over the next few years with competition from Virgin Atlantic. I have worked in the industry previously not just here in OZ(But the UK as well) and the perception on that brand in the UK and Europe will mean alot of people will pick Virgin as first choice for the Kangaroo route, hurting Qantas alot. Although no profit sharing with Virgin Blue occurs, you can bet your bottom dollar that the two will jump in bed together now, and that fares will tie in with Virgin Blue for Aussie connections. I may be wrong, only alot of time will tell, but I just sold mine the other day. May still go up ST but LT stick your gambling money elsewhere.
