I wonder how much of an impediment this international menace is going to be for Brazil. The thing is, for all the importance of critical minerals and the US's vulnerability in that regard, Trump may strong arm China about them on one hand and makes progress in sourcing alternatives problematic on the other. And that's to say little about recently taking tax credits from EV's and a general distain for non-carbon energies that doesn't do much to encourage much needed nascent industries.
Unfortunately Brazil, as a foundational BRICS nations, was always going to be a target of the great orange turd. Frankly, this tarrif business is why I've never expressed much interest in IXR in the USA. In my opinion, if Trump wants to run a Mafioso-style protection racket against his allies in particular, I'd be happy to leave them hanging on critical minerals until they learn to behave. Or maybe Brazil could host one of their BRICS partners big beautiful new naval, military and airforce bases in their region.https://hotcopper.com.au/data/attachments/7119/7119545-9c4302d7674b50c39664d0589577276b.jpg
