Had my computer compromised by the Spyfalcon trojan.....a very difficult virus to extracate from one's registry, especially given the registry protections in XP service pack 2.
Once the virus is in the registry, XP effectively protects it. Tried numerous fixes including using Recovery console to remove the registry protections so I could then get rid of the offending .dll file and replace it with a clean .dll.
Didn't work, so in the end had to take it into the store to get fixed. Now the motherboard has gone on it whilst at the store.
