Cannot believe people are still talking about this. The Visa thread is a fallacy. Afterpay's core targets are the millennials who don't want a Visa. If Visa's program is successful, the new business has to come from its existing credit card customers, not the millennials. You can ask Visa yourself if you don't believe me. Well, you may say that Visa will steal APT's core along the way. This will not happen. APT=Millennials Cool Digital Wallet, and Visa=Big mum & dad credit card. They are perceived very differently. I would say Visa's BNPL initiative is to protect its cardholders, rather than stealing APT's targets. APT is betting on a trend shift, not trying to build a better mousetrap.
