VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 05, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Monument Mining Limited (TSX-V: MMY and FSE: D7Q1) (“Monument” or the “Company”) announces that the Malaysia authorities have transitioned the movement control order (“MCO”) in five states into Phase 2 effective July 5, 2021 under the National Recovery Plan, including Pahang State.

Under the Phase 2, Selinsing Gold Mine is now back to production with up to 80% employees being allowed working at the site. Employers must ensure physical distancing and adherence to the standard operating procedures at all times.

CEO and President Cathy Zhai said: “The production starts to be resumed at Selinsing Gold Mine according to our recovery plan. We will be closely monitoring the Covid status and put employees’ safety as priority.”
