Well that's because knobs gather like flies and head to the city to cause carnage. Those left in Auburn are going about their daily lives.
Auburn has always been a cultural melting pot. Been around there many times but not for years. My guess is, it was a dumping ground for new Australians and as we all do when in an unfamiliar place, we congregate with our own kind.
If you guys live in Sydney, you'd know full well that Asian residents are by far the biggest ethnic community. I rarely see anyone covered head to toe.....and when I do I really want to ask them if it's bloody hot in there.
Australia is free thinking, if those women wanted to escape what you think is an injustice....they could do so. Maybe they want to respect their beliefs and don't expect you to understand.
