For many of us who are seeking assistance today never believed we would be in this position. Firstly a lot of us had built their life around jobs that they thought would have for life. We followed in the steps of other members of the family into what we thought were safe havens of guaranteed employment until retiring age,ie banks and the public service to name a couple. We did our job accordingly had our two kids and planned our life. We bought Holden cars. But in the 80`s that began to change. Amalgamation and the word REDUNDENTCY WAS introduced. Those in other industries suffered from the dropping of tarrifs. From the closures of those companies saw those that was left go overseas.
What happened then was we lost our nest egg. We had to use that nest egg to survive and reinvent ourselves. AND WE DID Like proud Aussies we fought back against all the odds but the new generation along with Government Policies backing the BIG BUSINESS have seen us on the DOLE QUE. Our loss of dignity stolen by Government Policy and told to go back to work in jobs that don`t exist. Many of us have been forced to sell our home and live in ONE bedroom squats.
As previously stated in my first post we thought we go and live in another country away from our family to live a life with some dignity,maybe helping those who live in real poverty but are told we are not going to pay you the pension.
I Can see many of you are not aware of the BARBARIC CRUELTY THAT HAS LED to our demise in this country. Furthermore many of us have seen our savings lost to the many Corrupt COMPANIES that opened up to swindle us of our savings and been allowed to get off without going to jail.
Yes I talk about the many who were born after the 2nd World War.Our fathers and their father did not lose their life for what has happened to us today.
We all know you can not believe a politician but the lies and blatant lack of honesty and integrity that exists today and the greed of big business is as such it is sad. It is not even HUMAN.
