I can asure you, this is no longer the case.

Mainlanders without a doubt prefer Aussie food/products over NZ, but in saying that both are ranked highly.

The perception from Chinese is Australia is cleaner & greener than most along with regulations by govt. Plus NZ food has been hit by a few food scandals in the last few years & the Chinese was aware of this.
