Thanks, Sillysolly, for some truly great input. Could never do that myself, which is why I really appreciate the thorough work yourself and others like you are offering on Hot Copper. With your calculations about future earnings there is just one aspect that I was hoping to further. What we have are:
·Resource estimates for both projects
·An off-take agreement
·The speculation about another ‘justlike it’
·A calculation about a potentialshare price down the track.
What this led me to think even before your substantial input was this question:
What capacity does Vital have to enter into further off-take agreements.
With relevant input one could obviously then calculate how much sellable material is in the ground as per current estimates if one knew the percentages of concentration achievable by the two processing stages that result in a saleable product.
To calculate what could be achieved as a maximum annual ‘result’ one would then require more input.
Thus, the questions I thought would also be interesting to answer for
LabelC: Capacity to pre-sort are:
·How much material can be processedby the on-site pre-sorter in one year?
·And what is the percentage concentrationachieved by that process?
Label D)Capacity to process ready for delivery:
·How much pre-sorted material canthe off-site sorter manage per year?
·What is the concentration achievedby that process as agreed to in the off-take agreements?
I remain very positive about Vital and its potential; but, it is disappointing to see VML could not sustain, or at least hold, the recent up moves.,

When it comes to the technical side of things, I'm by no means an expert on this side of the fence. But I'll do my best to research further into this over the coming days. For now, I will refer to another users post, setfire2thehive, which can be found here. This is in regards to the ore-sorter.

Sorting rates
+8mm to –25mm ore will be fed to the fine ore Xray sorter at ~30-40 tonnes per hour = 960tpd
+25mm to –75mm ore will be fed to the coarse Xray sorter at 85-90 tonnes per hour. = 2160tpd

Irrespectively, I'm quite confident typical nameplate is around 3000tpd for these machines. The above would suggest 2000tpd is definitely achievable but would appear the exact answer lies in the particular ore type and feed size

As suggested in the first post - 1 ore sorter at 2700tpd covers your entire offtake. If you're anywhere in between 2000-2700 you're good for next 2-4 years, more likely downstream is a bottleneck that the ore sorter IMHO. Not super expensive bits of kit TBH, so if they found they we're able to meet those targets and downstream had the capacity what's a couple mill. Potential end up being funded through profits.

Also FYI the costing of the ore sorting cost was ~10% of the overall unit cost/t. Very inexpensive.
