A have a theory.
The market started to slump over a year ago.
It was known that if the price of the share was to fall below 3c there would be problems acquiring finance.
"Inside" people also know that there are deals to be done.
To make money, delay all deals, sell so the share drops below 3c. Refinance at 2c allowing re-entry at 2c both on market and through offer. Make the deals and release the news. Make money. Even if they sold at 3c they have already made a packet.
To confirm my theory, we have to wait for the share price to hit 3c again, check the top 20 in Jan 2008, Jan 2009 and again when its 3c.
eg. if X had 1 million shares in Jan 2008, 1/2 million shares in Jan 2009 and 4 million shares at the end.
