I agree that things are heating up in Taiwan , Ukraine, Iran/Israel during a period were US leadership is strained by internal conflicts and social disorder. Also demand for EV and electrification is accelerating. US needs to assure ready supply o rare earths etc. Present plan VML has seems rather limited- more of a pilot plan than anything major. Other projects also on hold with no ML yet for PEK, and GGG.
