Barrium chloride... estimated consumption rate 1-4 MT/yr...
Ferrous sulfate... 25 to 75 MT/yr...
Extrapolating from this...
I'd suggest that 500t PA is a trial quantity, with plans to produce 3x to 4x shortly afterwards.
