Late last week the US climate and energy package was legislated by the United States, allocating US$370 billion of government expenditure to clean energy, efficiency, electric vehicles (EVs), carbon removal, environmental justice and nature protection, as well as investments in healthcare, tax reforms and public deficit reductions. To qualify for the tax credits however a significant percentage of the technology and/or minerals used in the technology must come from either the U.S. or Canada (which is a regional trade-treaty country).
The introduction of the US Climate and Energy Package will be a significant tailwind for VML. The assessment by MST Access earlier this year (copy attached herewith) has a price target of A$0.21. The report is worth a read if you're interested or if considering buying (or selling) VML shares.
