Agree, subsidies are common place in the world we live in - to companies that show that they are somewhat self sufficient and capable of delivering a business model of return.
A subsidy is "a sum of money granted by the state or a public body to help an industry or business keep the price of a commodity or service low."
VML is currently in a position of almost needing government grants simply to survive.
