I think you are conflating the issues created by GA and LH's reaction to them.

If we are to take what LH are saying at face value sas wasnt viable based on the cost and timeline put to the market by GA. If thats the premise of GAs matter then I wish him the very best of luck. Sas being $20m short of completion doesnt put VML in a position to deliver to reetec. LH closing sas is a huge step just to justify GA's departure if VML was in a position to deliver. If so, to what end for LH?

This puts LH as 'the buyer' and shenghe as VML's last hope after being hung out to dry by Trudeau as shenghe will have a vested interest in vml going into something that looks like production if the deal goes through.
