Thx for that video - it indeed did clarify a few things;
The SRC facility is and will likely remain small scale POC/commercial level to prove up processes/technology and hopefully attract the investment needed for private investment in true commercial plants. It will never become a volume producer but instead licence their IP I guess
They have already developed a process to treat monzanite ore and their low volume deal with Nolans will leverage that
They now have funding to develop a parallel line to treat bastnasite ore - as per the 2000T recently bought from Vital - but this will not start operation until early next year and then 2-3 years needed to treat just that initial 2000T
Their deal with Vietnam is for processing not ore but instead the mixed rare earth carbonate (the first stage in RE processing)
They also have a smelting capability to produce metals/metal alloys such as NdPr from the above
Quite an emphasis from the Minister that Canadian RE ore should stay in Canada to be processed! So hard to imagine any deal where Nechalacho ore heads directly to China
