Hopefully short term supply restrictions lead to sustained price increase that improve medium to long term investment incentive towards alternative options. Given the amount of time to bring new projects online prices could potentially remain elevated for a while. All depends on how the trade spat plays out. China hasn't placed an outright ban on exports so it remains to be seen how they will leverage their dominance going forward.
