Over in LATAM (or is Mexico designated North America?) some interesting possibilities might be opening up.
First things first though. Cake went bankrupt..........................expanding too fast (and models catching on fire didn't help) and seems like they 'assumed' they could continue to burn $ and keep putting their hand out for more.................

Last year, they and Italika (the biggest ICEV manufacturer in Mexico) signed up for a JV(?) and amongst other things expected to sell 50000 units pa(?)

Which appeared to be a bit of a setback, I suppose, given Italika and Citio were also doing business with Vmoto via the re-badged TC and VS2 (Voltium Gravity and Voltium City respectively)
In any case, Italika had been looking to get into EV manufacturing and their partner has now gone down the gurgler. But Vmoto is still 'standing' and on their product list as well as bing included in the leasing / share arm Rentalika
So, maybe this time they will go full JV with Vmoto?
As a further aside, there would be a lot of 'CAKE' inventory and infrastructure looking for a home. Another opportunity for Vmoto? (The US inventory has been snapped up by another party but that appears to look a bit disorganised).
Interesting to see the 23 results this week. I wonder if some writedowns around the Soco JV will have an impact. Very hopeful for 24 though.
