With the 23 results due this week, I have been having a think about what the NPAT figure might be before any writedowns.

Pre-writedown NPAT for 22 was $14m (@$10m post Greenmo stuff).

We know total sales down @40% in 22 so a straight line comparison @$8.4. That's an oversimplified ('bigly' optimistic ?) figure of course because of the "non-variables", etc. But is has got me curious why there has been no 'heads-up' about a (possible) drop in NPAT of 20%+. Or maybe the company figures the quarterlies have sufficiently 'prepared' the market for the results.

Of course that could be because of ongoing discussions with auditors about accounting treatments and/or the company wrestling with grey areas.

Added to the mix is the 'other revenue' streams that are not directly linked to the reported unit sales in the quarterlies. Graziano's post about other revenue streams re components for use in the broader industry including for ICEVs





Selling batteries and battery exchange stations to distributors (for their BAAS operations) will add to the profit but I would imagine that it would not be significant at this stage.


But it does make you think, especially when you see posts (in the last week) from partners like Riba about their "battery exchange network" in Sao Paulo. Maybe they are referring to link ups with Vammo. I don't know





Unfair question for you V, have you been able to 'tease out' other revenue streams when playing with your spreadsheets?

Re NPAT guestimates, I imagine the smart money would be on Reaper's estimate of @$5m (flat 2H).............pre any writedowns if there are any.

In any case, an interesting week coming up.
