    Hey Foot

I was wondering if you could clarify a couple of things for me in relation to your opinion about Social media research.

I get you don't like it and/or think it is of limited value. There would be a number of people who think that.

Is the info in social media, in your view, meaningless insofar as unless info is contained in an asx announcement, it is irrelevant to investors?

If so, no problems, and what follows will not interest you. But if it is not that clear cut for you (opinion wise), perhaps I could get your feedback on a specific example.

    Revolt Motors.

By way of a reminder, Revolt is an Indian mob that was bought out completely by Rattanindia during the last year.

There were a number of issues around their operation and they suspended taking orders a few months back. Primarily, I think because of a question mark over government subsidies but also I think around access to parts and maintenance support.

In any case, they purchased @5000 (possibly more in total) KDP kits from Vmoto and that aside, it provides an interesting indicator of how Vmoto's revenue streams are going to grow / develop as well as having implications for manufacturing / assembly practices.

If my recollections are correct, each time Revolt opened the books for orders they got swamped. In other words, demand exceeded supply. So if there is movement here then it probably indicates substantial orders / revenue.

In terms of social media activity, there has been some developments recently.................................

About a month ago there were signs that things were starting to kick again...............

then some indication of 'new' release

    then yesterday a firm date

and also an indication that Rattanindia are going to throw some $ at promotion with a new vid and spruiking the 'swipe to start' feature (very 'Holeshot')

So. Does that in anyway make you think about the utility of social media? Knowing that this will (probably) lead to another substantial order?

I suppose my thinking is that this might not come to light for several months because Revolt will take the orders then discuss purchase and deliveries with Vmoto and sometime after that a 'formal' order will be placed.

More broadly, it ups the ante in terms of total activity in India and with Future Motors also in the background, might lead to another assembly / warehousing facility.

The other aspect of this is the question of 'effort' to collate and analyse this data. That is a separate question as to whether you access it manually or automate the process.

I am most interested though in your opinion as to whether you find the information (leaving alone how you access it) useful and whether this example would cause you to think about "Social Media".

    Cheers
