LATAM continues to catch my interest.

Riba, the 'current' JV partner in Brazil had focussed on one Vmot model the VS1/CPx.

Their supplied a number of clients in Brazil but iFood was probably the most important (I am guessing) becuase they in turn were supplying the Motoboys and a while back they usurped Voltz that went belly up.

They have launched the new Rubinha (CUmini) and I would have thought this would have heralded the entry in to the B2C as well as some of the Last Mile couriers (Motoboys).

It appears to be a 'renting' model.

This is a bit of a relief as I was wondering if there was the possibility going to be a 'divorce' (between Riba and Vmoto) because of the emergence of Vammo.

Vammo are also focusing on the last - mile market but had been getting their EVs direct from Vmoto (by-passing Riba).

Vammo have designs on manufacturing/assembling their own product and are looking to expand into other parts of LATAM (Mexico in particular).

So Vammo and Rappi (IFood's dominant competitor in Brazil) are both cashed up $30m and $110m US respectively, for a push into Mexico in particular.

Vammo also appears to be winning over iFood couriers via their Battery Exchange networks (if the reels on Insta are to be believed).

I am figuring though that Vmoto is in the process of cementing a relationship with both Vammo and Riba. One which keeps all parties happy. That is more sales for Vmoto.

All anecdotal of course and am hoping to see some sort of announcement about a JV is LATAM (let's not forget Italika and the the numerous other users of Vmoto product in Brazil and Peru and Columbia etc).

Like I have said on another post....lots of greenshoots..............here's hoping we get a growth spurt in LATAM and other regions sometime this year.

One other thing. The founders of Vammo, remember, are ex Tesla and Rappi employees.

The ex-Rappi employee was the brains and the brawn behind 'Rappi Turbo' which is the fast delivery operation that is probably going to drive the Rapi expansion in LATAM. Rappi appears to enjoy good relationships with its ex-employees and even boasts about the number of employees who have gone onto set up related (and unrelated) enterprises.

Following on from previous post for context..........................

I was wondering how Vammo and Riba were going to 'get along' as Vammo were importing their CPx direct from Vmoto and Riba were 'assembling' them for other clients.

Then Riba 'launched' the Rubinha (CUmini) which is no longer a 'stock' Vmoto product.

Good to see that the 3 brands are co-existing (and benfitting). The snap (apols for the quality) form a Vammo reel shows the 3 brands together. Yay!

Also good to see one of the investors in the $30m cap raise for Vammo is happy with what he is seeing and is optimistic about their 'scaling'...........

Vammo and Riba have the 'motoboy market 'covered' via Rappi and iFood respectively.

Riba and their Rubinha model will hopefully provide a cheaper entry point for B2C customers.

In any case, maybe a JV involving Vammo, Riba, Vmoto? Even better if they could rope in mobs like Mottu etc.

Or maybe the 'link' is Riba - made product licensing for use of Vammo's Exchange network.

I wonder if the Fast Charging Station will be incorporated into a B2C network? (Not suitable for share or fleet). Models like CUx and CUmini (Rubinha) which dont have the Vmoto 'universal' battery type.

Here's hoping the 'field tests' linked to our friends 'Charged' are adding to the credibility of Vmoto product. Can't locate the original story in my feeds but the model looked like this....................
