Following the already outstanding last years pathway, with the domestic market boomed from below 1 million in 2018 to 1.57 million in 2023, reaching the seventh place in the world, it seems the demand for new two-wheelers is still strong and we are going to assist at a new record this year.
Indeed, during the first quarter 2024 new motorcycles sales have been 412.414 (+16.1%) a huge increase after the +21.3% scored last year.
While motorcycle segment is growing at 10.2% pace, the scooter segment accelerates and is up 28.7% this year, so far.
Still very small, but even the electric segment is contributing with sales up 7.2%.
Looking at top manufacturer’s performance, Honda is still on top with sales up 17.3% selling near 0.3 million vehicles
