    Following on form earlier posts and Elecrik's sugestions, I tried to put my 'professional hat' on and think how would I structure this if a client came to me.

    This might seem a bit over-the-top but I figure if you are going to do it, I would suggest you build / colour a world according to regions / FTAs.

    Broadly speaking Vmoto want to internalise the business, using a 'Top Down' approach - I expect(?)

    By that I mean, the most valuable 'pieces' on the global board would be JV partners manufacturing or assembling in geographical regions and/or FTA zones. Then would come distributors then retailers.

    When constructing a global 'snapshot' (which I figure you are trying to do), I would try to present it in a way that clearly / quickly showed the 'gaps' (top-down gaps most importantly) based on opportunities - size and forecast growth.

    With all this stuff I think the most valuable insight is to answer the question "Where to?" and then you allocate your resources etc etc. Blah Blah.

    The following consists of guestimates / estimates sourced from unchecked sources. There will be gaps. Don't be too harsh. Ha!

    So. I would aim for a diagrammatic representation of where Vmoto is in the various regions / FTA zones and do a monopoly (hotels = manufacturers JVs, houses = assemblers, then distributors / retailers). Gaps in the 'big' areas (economies / industry) would be main areas of interest.

    Clear as mud, eh?

    I'll step back and will wait to see what you come up with. Hopefully others can join in. I will be most interested to see if posters find this stuff useful. I expect a number won't but hopefully some will.
