Battery voltage:
The articles that V1 posted indicate that the charges are smart enough to charge a variety of voltages by varying their output accordingly, presumably using transformers.
I guess a level two charger would easily deliver 2.2kW in 30 mins to a 60v battery and I'm guessing that lifting the battery voltage to accept the maximum charge rate that a level three charger can deliver would reduce that to a few seconds. But eliminating the swap box isn't the plan it seems
30 minute charging. whats the point ?
I've been wondering what the advantage of 30m charging is. A delivery driver isn't going to want to be off the road for half an hour to charge his battery.
I'm thinking its all about Swap Boxes .
The faster the charging time the less batteries you have to buy and the smaller the swap box can be to meet the demand for fresh batteries. Makes the battery swap business way more efficient and affordable.
