Found an article, the new battery ought to be ready to go post Eicma (later this year). 2 options then for all purchasers. Fast or normal charging. Sorta suggest that there both types can be used in the bikes and/or the battery exchange stations.
So Dak's suggestion about increasing the versatility of the stations themselves and the how it will help reduce turnover times for business operators and therefore reduce the number of cabinets needed, seemes to be right.
