You could easily say the same about going long being gamified there's so much misinformation for both directions. How often do you see post about stocks heading to $1 targets without justification. Both shorting and long positions should be used to protect against losses.

My post was in reply to your short comment stating "I'm sure you aren't happy with what they do". In reality that couldn't be further from the truth, I'm absolutely comfortable with short interests on LT stocks I own as it has little effect on my long term targets.

Im not saying whether shorting or going long is the better option, just stating my oppinion that both sides of the market should have equal opportunity to the tools available.
