Thought I'd reach out into the ether with some words of comfort and consolation for those long-standing holders of VMY.

It's a bit like supporting Tottenham Hotspurs. There's class on the field but your team never seems to win a trophy. You take pride, but end up going home in the rain on the bus while the other bloke screws his BMW around the car park and doesn't get a ticket.

I was surprised at the low volume today, but I really do feel, with everything that's going on (not just the short term excitement) that we're not too far off from needing to make room in the cabinet.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if The Donald's announcement tonight is a further catalyst to this. Some sort of special provision for his mates down under, with Mike perfectly placed to put on the accent and hand over a contract.

Even if there isn't, it'll place further upwards pressure on prices, and assuming the US producers can't meet demand, VMY will be well placed indeed.

It'll also create some certainty in the sector, which will hopefully bring some more utilities out of the woodwork with the confidence to sign up. Take solace that competition from cheap gas is also taking a beating at this time.

Not long too long now.
