Results out on the 22nd of Feb...greatly anticipated. Southern Cross ( VOC's pipe ) just announced customer contracts will be extended for another 5 years at no cost, except for maintainance contribution, as the pipe is in service till 2025 instead of 2020. I believe the 2nd contract has been signed or is about to be signed. Curious to see thier plans in the data centre space. I imagine they will build more to satisfy customer's demand i.e. taking a low risk approach.
Vodaphone and Telcom NZ have just announced a $300 million gov broadband NZ contract. Hopefully VOC get's a slice of this in demand for bandwidth from Vodaphone - not sure though as Telcom NZ owns 50% of the Southern Cross pipe.
