I think its the wrong end of the market for them. NEXTDC are after large scale high quality DC's. S1 alone is more expensive than their whole DC portfolio.
It's also wrong to assume NextDC is cashed up. Those funds are already earmarked.
There has been no resolution of the AJD situation, for which no capital has been allocated to for a sucessful purchase.
Given they are still in a growth phase, they have to be careful with cashflow and debt coverage.
Not to mention they may possibly have to fend off more competition in the immediate future.
