    Negligible direct impact, but "potential" collateral damage, via the heightened sovereign risk (which I did actually emphasis on 14/5).

    As for consistency. With all the spin, the postering and the politics I am still trying to get my head around the impacts on my investments, and get some durable consistency on it in my own mind. I am open to modifying my views in responce to the likes of comments from Voelte.

    I believe foremost on Voelte's mind might be the NWS, which is not under PRRT, and therefore may be brought under the much more savage RSPT regime. After last year's sudden govt grab of extra NWS condensate revenue I guess Voelte can be excused for concern as to how much of his revenue might disappear at the whim of the Rudd/Swan. Shell's reaction then to further investment in Browse, Qld etc?

    No need to respond, as I will clearly be remaining confused on confused issues, while you will remain certain even if wildly wrong on matters of fact.
