The whole point of the voice is to establish separate powers for aboriginals to deliver more input on "aboriginal affairs"... how is this the opposition making it a them vs us? THe entire point is to give "them" a say.
Any legisalation that is based on skin colour/background is by nature divisive.
Many voice advocates have also mentioned how it is the beginning of a path to treaty and self governance. Which may not be a bad thing in the long run, but it is driven by an us and them mindset from the yes camp, not the other way around.
If its " its about people genuinely asking to be listened to - please", what is stopping them from being heard via their elected parliamentariens now? No one is being denied this right. We all have the same rights to voice our concerns to our local reps, sign petitions, go to meetings. its the same rights for all (at present)
