"Us" certainly means all of us. I get that. But I've outlined the mindset of the (predominantly) non-Indigenous voters who aren't 100% sold on the idea of a constitutional Voice. "Us"/"me" in that context being non-ATSIs.

There's no denying the Opposition's stance is divisive.
But that stance is not being taken for the mere sake of spoiling this particular opportunity to resolve ATSI disadvantage.

As we've discussed before, there is great leverage for Dutton politically if his opposition to the referendum succeeds. BUT....there are also multiple valid reasons - none of which are related directly to Dutton's personal position, but discussed at length on various HotCopper threads, for example - as to why the Amendment SHOULD be opposed in principle.

There is no moral basis to complain of 'denial of justice', IMO, if pursuit of said justice creates other problems in the minds of the electorate. Let the people weigh up the pros (of justice) and cons (of consequences) of the proposal.
