When you consider it, voice control is just another interface, like DeB.
So, two things to consider:
- voice control cannot completely replace a complex user interface, and it won't work remotely.
- future iterations of DeB may include (and probably will, given its location in mobile phones) voce control functionality.
Remember that Xped a only providing a part of the entire IoT answer, and so there are a lot of things that it will seamlessly integrate with which will make the entire connected experience more complete. That's where licencing agreements with good manufacturers comes to the fore.
