the constitutional placement was all the excuse they needed. a MP who had Aboriginal needs and the better management of laws pertaining directly to Aboriginal people on the top of their mind would not have taken the 'opportunity' but would have supported the Voice in line with the productivity comm report. the reasoning there was solid and sound.

but of course party politicians don't have best management in mind; they have only party point scoring as their priority.

Clearly it is beyond your intellect to comprehend that there is a significant difference between Parliament abolishing something (ATSIC) and a Referendum to remove something (the voice) from the Constitution.
