Albanese made a promise to them to fulfil their request and this meant a referendum. on "representative democracy" we don't have much of that in Aus.... be that as it may be, parliament debated the referendum. Albanese asked for bipartisan support knowing the Voice was coalition policy. the LibNats refused and began their attack.

Running campaigns based on lies and fear doesn't mean you're susceptible to them....it means you run them directed at the population (or segment thereof) you believe are susceptible to them.
