    ahahhh..... news media have always (over 500 years) been the mainstay of community information. yes Aboriginal people weren't often recorded by news media but they did report, albeit in convoluted terms, atrocities committed against Aboriginal people. including massacres and water poisonings.

    the intergenerational trauma is a fact. com plate with epigenetic changes which record the atrocities in the RNA of Aboriginal people.

    "Completely irrelevant to any 'truth telling' under Makarrata." .. that will be determined by the Makarrata commission and the terms of relevance.

    but in essence truth telling, as it has been practiced around the world, has been a valuable resource for learning the struggles of First Nations people .
