Men being men, there is substance to the comment that a failed bid here would damage egos. The very thought of looking for another Lithium would be seen as weak, not helping the old ego, no CEO wants to be seen trending (LYC etc).
No, IMHO WES will own KDR 100%, cash is not the issue as such, but I suggest the MO must be seen as a hard value fight, could be 6 months or more to completion. Likely the final number is somewhere between $800m & $850m, the length and cost depends on how negotiations are going with the balance of the T20. So far it's interesting, you always hear who's been rolled early on, important to project capitulation etc, however it's been a little quiet.
