Basically it is 10% of investments.

45% is permanent long term. Always long.

45% is long term switching. Recently went short.

That gives me 10% to play with.

If I have a good run with the play money and it gets way out of proportion with the rest then I reallocate to the others and play again.

That allows me some fun to stop the boredom but prevents me risking all.

Each to their own but that seems to work for me.
