    Fair enough @piast, I appreciate your response and perhaps you will end up being correct.

    I tried to like Volt because I think Vorster is a good Director, however the fundamentals of the sector and the actual project itself did not add up for me.

    For example, if you are invested for the EV theme then it's still dominated by synthetic graphite (60-70%) and I think Syrah will destroy the natural graphite market. Did you know that the Chinese are buying high quality flake graphite from Inner Mongolia for less than $800 per tonne? Syrah will need to compete with this as will Magnis and Volt. Don't just take my word as gospel, research this point and you will find it's true.

    IMO the basket prices assumptions will prove to be nonsense once Syrah enters production. If the real basket price is under $800 per tonne then guess what happens to some of the junior graphite companies? Some projects will be worth zero.
