Volume and price

The volume and price has been quite a big topic and even led to a ASX "reverse speeding ticket" not to long ago. The price of DCC has "plummeted" from the high 30's to its current price of 8.8c. The funny thing is though is that it was done on very low liquidity all the way down. Top 20 own some 76% (from memory) of the issued capital and from what I can see from the two times we were given the top 20 info, they havent sold... so if issued capital is 168,000,000 shares of which only 24% is available to traders then you have about 40,000,000 shares floating around. But the the avg volume is low - and if someone knows how to work out the avg volume please enlighten... This would indicate that the top 20 truly believe in the company and are not really interested in selling (well exclude directors as im not sure if there are rules around selling their shares). The low liquidity also would indicate that the other shareholders are not greatly interested in selling either. I guess the other alternative is if someone had a large shareholding then they are in a sense locked in due to liquidity?

So this morning we see two 10,000 share parcels at 9c therefore increase the share price from previous close of 8.8c then not long after we see an XT trade for only 2,274 shares at 8.8c (value $200) and this brings the share price back down. I am kind of confused.
