The technology has been proven by JDC, from what I can make out. However, until JDC start marketing and commercialising the technology, there is probably not much that MAK can do. While the wait is frustrating, MAK are only a small minority shareholding in JDC and probably do not have much say in the matter. Sad, but true.
Once commercialised, this technology has the potential to transform the phosphoric acid industry and would increase the amount mineable reserves of phosphorus deposits which would not be treatable economically under the existing WAP technologies. In Florida, and other parts of the world, this would significantly increase reserves of low grade ore which is not economical to process under the WAP.
Scaling up from lab scale equipment to a small demo plant, they now need to solve any outstanding process issues as they scale up the plant rates and be able to run the plant stably and consistently. As shareholders, we would want results after patiently waiting for progress. Remember though that this is a new technology, and there are always issues to resolve for success - there is no other plant they can refer to as a comparison. When they do solve their issues, I believe the process will take off.
