I've watched many a turnaround and learned that I can never predict the exact timing or extent of the movement up in the price, can't predict the timing or extent of the retracements (which is why I won't trade core holdings) and can't predict exactly when the growth may cease or hurdles hit.
Best not to over analyse things - if you find a stock that is good value and looks like it has the capacity to grow earnings at 30% plus on high margins, or earnings growth via much higher revenues with modest margins and there is nothing to say trouble - then sit back and let the market do what it does and don't have too low expectations that are exceeded to make you exit or too high expectations not met to make you exit - just enjoy the compounding returns and see where it takes you.
Trying to time the market - or reacting to ones own subjective valuations/expectations can get a person out when they should stay in. Once in - let the trend take you along and don't over analyse too much - analyse the next one.
When growth stops or something isn't right - then get out - quick.
