I had pretty much the same thoughts and asked FML the question.
Have you had any meaning full dialog withe Stone?
The answer was an absolute no.
No.1 and 2 don't make sense to me (But this whole thing with Stone does not make sense so they could supprise us once again and do something what we consider irrational)but could be wrong.
I suggest your answer is No. 3, maybe a third party has been enlisted to mop up all outstanding shares other than Stones to make it nice and clean.
